A €7.5 million state of the art primary school is opening its doors in Sixmilebridge today.
The long-awaited school has been two years in the making, with the new building containing 24 classrooms, a special needs unit, library, computer rooms and two general halls.
The original buildings at St Finnachta’s National School had been in place since 1934.
