It’s hoped that more visitors to Clare will be driven away from the beaten track by the launch of two new touring routes off of the Wild Atlantic way.
Today sees the official launch of the Shannon Estuary Way at an event in Clarecastle – it branches off of the Wild Atlantic Way at Killimer, and brings tourists on a route through Labasheeda, Kildysart, Ballynacally, Ennis, Clarecastle and Bunratty and then onto Limerick and Foynes.
It’s been developed by Fáilte Ireland who have also devised the Burren Drive
