Clare’s senior hurlers suffered defeat today in the National Hurling League quarter-final going down 0-31 to 1-14 against Waterford.
Stephen Bennett struck 16 points as the Deise turned over the Banner in the second half to book a semi-final date with Galway.

The result means Clare have no more competitive action until the 12th May when they travel to Waterford again in the Munster Championship.
