A man arrested in connection with a firearms seizure in North Clare has been release without charge.
It follows an intelligence led operation carried out by local Gardaí, assisted by members of the Garda Armed Support Unit, at a property in Corofin last night.
A firearm, which was stolen during a burglary in Rathfarnham, Dublin in 2013, was seized by Gardaí at the North Clare property, together with ammunition.
One man was arrested and detained Ennis Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
He has since been released without charge and a file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
