It’s claimed the town of Shannon is being overlooked as a contender for investment opportunities, in comparision to other parts of the county.
That’s the view of Garret McPhillips who’s hoping to secure a council seat in the upcoming local elections in the area.
The Fine Gael candidate says Shannon is in the shadows of the larger towns across the county when it comes to attracting investment and much needed enterprise:
