Concerns have emerged that anti-social behaviour on the streets of Ennis town centre is damaging business.
A businessman on O’Connell Street, who’s been trading in the town for several decades, says customers have complained of being accosted or hassled by people under the influence of drink or drugs on the streets.
He says the issue has become prevalent over the past 18 month in particular, and believes that the situation won’t improve until there is a visible Garda presence in the town.
