Nurses say 66 people are waiting for beds at the region’s main hospital today.
The latest figures from the INMO show 45 people are on trolleys in the emergency department at University Hospital Limerick, while a further 21 are being accommodated in overflow areas of wards.
The overall figures is the highest in the country once again and is 26 more than the next busiest facility.
