The value of farm land has increased by over 5% across the Mid-West.
According to new figures from auctioneers, Sherry Fitzgerald, land prices have risen to an average of between €9,300 to almost €9,800 per acre, depending on the quality of land.
Teagasc experts also expect farm incomes to increase by up to 15% this year, although this is against the backdrop of recent struggles in agriculture.
