Clare native Liam Jegou has taken bronze at the World under 23 canoe slalom championships in Krakow, Poland.
The France-based Irishman, whose mother hails from Ballyvaughan, secured a spot in the top three despite suffering a two-second penalty.
Jegou will be overage for this competition next year but is already targeting the Tokyo Olympic Games are three consecutive final appearances.
