Clare’s County Dog Warden is expressing shock over a significant drop in the number of new dog licenses issued in Clare.
Figures released by the government show that the number of licenses issued in this county has reached a 20-year low.
Just shy of 1,700 licenses were approved in Clare last year, the lowest number since the 1990s, while it’s well down on over 3,000 in 2017.
