The communities of Ennis and Bunratty will be putting on a show today for the arrival of the judges for the Pride of Place Awards.
It’s adjudication day for the two Clare community groups that have been nominated by the local authority, namely Ennis Tidy Towns and the Bunratty Local Development Association.
Both will be hoping to replicate the success of Shannon, which was the overall winner in Category 5 last year, which Ennis is in the running for this time around.

The winners will be announced in November and Deirdre O’Shea of the Rural Development Directorate with Clare County Council says the county has already a strong track record:
