The Irish Wildlife Trust is calling for a total shift in our attitude to waste of all kinds.
It follows a distressing image that circulated on social media over the weekend of a fox which had died as a result of plastic waste in Clare.
It’s led to widespread calls for people to pick up their waste after themselves and to bin any rubbish they see when out walking.

Pádraic Fogarty is Campaigns Officer with the Irish Wildlife Trusts and says it’s a difficult ask – but a significant shift is needed.
