It’s claimed West Clare can have the best greenway in the entire country, if the mistakes of other counties are learned from.
The idea of a West Clare Railway Greenway has long been discussed in public circles, with the proposal being a walking and cycling route linking Ennis to Lahinch.
However, it has been opposed in some quarters, and now the four North Clare councillors have come together to call for a presentation from those with an in-depth knowledge of greenways.
