An Ennis economist says consumers are right to err on the side of caution, ahead of what could be a “serious bang” for the economy with Brexit on the horizon.
A report by KBC Bank has found that consumer confidence in the Irish economy is at a six-year low.
The index has found that it’s a sharp drop in confidence compared to just a month previous, with Brexit, the jobs market and spending power the main worries among consumers.
