Clare County Council has lifted bathing restrictions at Lahinch.
Advisory notices were erected earlier this week after after increased levels of bacteria were detected in routine water samples.
It was a result of excessive rainfall of recent weeks, which led to runoff from land surrounding the bay.

The restrictions have been lifted today, following advice from the HSE, after water testing indicated reduced levels of bacteria and the blue flag is flying once again in Lahinch.
