Clare County Council has given the green light to allow for the development of a new cinema at the Skycourt Shopping Centre in Shannon.
Omniplex Cork Ltd. have received planning permission for modifications to allow for the new six-screen cinema and associated works.
The developers have previously stated that the cinema will open towards the end of this year.

Last year, a four-screen cinema project had received the green light but plans were subsequently made to add two additional screens.
