Clare’s Ella Doherty has beaten her starting ranking at the World Junior Triathlon Championships in Lausanne.
The Ennis triathlete came home in 56th this morning and was just one of two Irish competitors in the field.
It was six places higher than her seeding for her 1st major world championships event.

The race was won by Italy’s Beatrice Mallozzi.
