Farmers Vow To Continue Protest Despite Beef Deal

Farmers are continuing to picket the Kepak meat processing facility in Drumquin near Ennis this afternoon in spite of the deal struck to bring an end to their protests.

There are calls for further talks and for more concessions in favour of farmers by those who have dismissed yesterday’s deal.

That was struck after marathon weekend talks and one of those who participated, ICSA General Secretary Eddie Punch from Cratloe, has urged farmers to end their protests and to accept what’s on offer
