Nurses fear lives will be lost at the region’s main hospital, if trolley numbers aren’t drastically and urgently reduced.
Yesterday saw a record-equaling 81 on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick for the second time in eight days, and just the fourth time in history to reach that peak.
Additionally, September’s monthly trolleywatch analysis revealed a 57% jump in the level of overcrowding across the month, compared with September of last year.
