55 Patients On Trolleys At UHL

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has dropped significantly today.

However, latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show that University Hospital Limerick is still the most overcrowded in the country.

A total of 55 patients were awaiting a bed at the Dooradoyle facility this morning, which is a drop from 72 on trolleys yesterday.

While it marks a drop of 17 on yesterday’s figure, it’s still nine more than the next busiest hospital today of Cork University Hospital.
