Kilmihil’s first time trip through the Munster senior championship has ended in defeat after they went down to Ballymacarbry by 4-22 to 1-4.
It was always a tough ask for Kevin Callinan’s charges in the ‘B’ Final as they tried to dethrone the three-in-a-row chasing Waterford champions in Mallow.
Micaela Glynn produced three superb first half saves but they couldn’t deny Michael Ryan’s charges take a 2-11 to 0-2 interval lead with goals from Lauren Guiry and Abbie Dalton.
And the Deise outfit kicked 4-20 overall from play, hitting just two wides over the hour, to book a meeting with Cork’s Mourneabbey next week.
Caitriona Callinan scored Kilmihil’s second half goal.
