Over two million euro is to be made available to Clare County Council to allow it construct eight new homes in Ennis.
The local authority is to develop two 2-bedroom and six 3-bedroom houses at a site at Roslevan on the Tulla Road.
The Council has been given funding in principle from the Local Authority Housing Construction Programme as part of the Rebuilding Ireland initiative.
