A status yellow warning for snow and ice has been issued in Clare.
Met Éireann extended the warning to cover the whole country this morning and it came into effect from 11am.
Wintry showers of hail, sleet and snow are expected to stick in parts, and the forecaster’s warning of icy stretches on roads and footpaths.
