Ennis Labour Representative Insists Party Has Viable Future

An Ennis Labour Party representative insists his party does have a viable future, despite a difficult General Election.

It follows the resignation of Brendan Howlin as Labour leader, who is to step aside after Labour managed to secure just six seats this weekend, a reduction of one in their Dáil representation.

Howlin took over as party leader following their hammering in the 2016 election but after not gaining any ground this time around, announced his intention to step down and has requested that a replacement be sought immediately.
