Clare’s Camogie side have continued their winning start to the National Camogie League with a win over home-side Kilkenny.
Ger O’Connell’s side made the trip to Nowlan Park to take on last year’s beaten League finalists on the back of a win over Offaly in the opening round three weeks ago.
Clare were the stronger side in the first half and took a 0-4 to 0-2 half time lead.
Kilkenny tried to level things in the second half but once they’d gotten within a point of Clare, Aine O’Loughlin got through for the Banner to hit the back of the Kilkenny goal.
It proved a crucial score in the end as Clare ran out two point winners.
Final score in Nowlan Park was Clare 1-10, Kilkenny 0-11.
