Clare’s Independent TD has joined a new Dáil technical group, in a move that will allow him gain more speaking time in the Chamber.
The Scarriff Independent has joined with fellow non-party representatives Marian Harkin, Michael Fitzmaurice, Catherine Connolly, Thomas Pringle and Joan Collins.
Such groupings have become increasingly common in recent Dáils, as they allow Independent TDs bring forward issues during leaders’ questions.
