The Clare and Tipperary Garda Division will come together as one unit from next month.
It’s previously been announced that a new Garda Operating Model will see the Garda Divisions of both counties amalgamate, with Ennis operating as their joint HQ.
Today, An Garda Síochána has announced the phased introduction of this new model, confirming that as part of Phase 2, changes will be implemented in Clare and Tipperary from next month.

Superintendents will be dispersed throughout Divisions, and will be responsible for different areas of policing including Crime, Governance and Performance Assurance, and Community Engagement.
