All Penney’s stores in Ireland are closed as of this evening, becoming the latest to do so amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
In a statement issues this evening, the fashion and homeware a chain said the decision was taken in the interests of the health and safety of their staff and customers.
The only Penney’s store in Clare is in Ennis Shopping Centre on Francis Street in the county town

Brown Thomas, which has a store in Limerick, has also closed.
