A Clonlara councillor is warning that residents of the flood-hit Springfield area are likely to be facing into another winter without their long-awaited flood protections.
Water levels have receded there following the flooding situation of recent weeks, but a massive clean-up operation has been left behind.
A video conference between Clare County Council and the OPW is scheduled to take place tomorrow, following communication with the consultants appointed to lead the project to put flood protections in place.
