Clare NBRU Rep Insists Compulsory Face Masks Necessary

A Clare Executive Member of the National Bus and Rail Union says it’s necessary that passengers wear face masks for the safety of frontline staff and the public during the ongoing pandemic.

The NBRU has sent a letter to the National Transport Authority and the coutry’s main transport companies proposing the measure, as well temperature checks for workers, to coincide with continuing social distancing measures.

The Union also wants to see the extension of protective measures, as well as continued routines of disinfection and cleaning of buses and trains.
