Trolley numbers are continuing to rise at the region’s main hospital once again this week.
The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show 25 patients were waiting for beds in the Emergency Department at University Hospital Limerick this morning.
It’s 5 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 135 patients were left waiting for beds at hospitals across the country.
