There’s been a sharp rise in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital overnight.
The latest INMO figures show 32 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, 16 of those in the emergency department.
The overall figure is 8 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 113 patients were left waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
