A West Clare Councillor is calling for a ‘Staycation Voucher’ worth 350 euro to be sent to every household in Clare.
The voucher would be redeemable at any business in the county and encourage people to shop locally.
A similar initiative is happening in Kerry where every household will be sent a 100 euro voucher to go towards a staycation within the county.
