The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has risen slightly as the weekend approaches.
The latest figures from the INMO show 37 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 30 of those in the emergency department.
It’s the highest overall figure of any hospital in the country and is 9 more than the next busiest facility.
