Clare GP Says Figures Showing High COVID-19 Incidence Are A Wake Up Call

A Clare GP has described new figures on Clare’s two-week incidence of Covid-19 as a wake-up call for the county.

Figures released by the Department of Health show Clare has recorded the highest incidence of the virus over the past fortnight, outside of the three lockdown counties of Kildare, Offaly and Laois.

33 cases of the virus have been recorded in this county between July 26th and August 8th, with Clare’s 14-day incidence of COVID-19 standing at 26.1 people per 100,000 of population as a result.
