The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has dropped significantly today.
The latest figures from the INMO show 28 patients were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 9 of those in the Emergency Department.
The overall figure is 2 less than the busiest facility and comes on a day when 177 patients were left waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
