The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has risen today.
The latest figures from the INMO show 38 patients were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 25 of those in the Emergency Department.
The overall figure is 13 more than the next busiest facility, and comes on a day when 166 patients were left waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
