Clare residents are being warned to be on the look out for bogus tradesmen.
It’s after two men called to a house in the BOyne Park Estate of Shannon last Friday at around 3 o’clock in the afternoon and told the owner that he had a hole in his roof that they could fix for a price.
The owner, who grew suspicious and believed the men had caused the damage themselves, contacted Gardaí in Shannon who subsequently made an arrest.

One man is now due to appear in court charged with criminal damage in the coming weeks.
Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Triona Brooks is urging people not to engage with those who call to your house if you don’t know them.
