Clare Psychiatrist Criticises Response To Mental Health Impact Of COVID-19

A Clare psychiatrist says there has been less focus on the mental health impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ireland, when compared with other countries.

A new paper from the Psychological Society of Ireland has warned that individuals – particularly healthcare staff – are suffering from a range of issues as a result of the crisis.

The publication warns the aftermath of the virus is likely to cause long-term mental health issues for society.
