The final round of group games in Clare’s minor hurling championships take place tonight.
The standout tie of the round is a repeat of last year’s county final, when Corofin/Ruan take on Clarecastle.
Corofin/Ruan got the better of Clarecastle in the Minor A county final last year to register their first ever success at that level. The two meet again tonight in what is essentially a straight shootout in Group A – the winner advances directly to the semi finals.
Group 2 sees a similar story, with whoever comes out on top between Feakle/Killanena and Inagh-Kilnamona heading straight into the last four.
Ogonnelloe/Scariff and Clooney-Quin face off in Group 3 – whoever prevails there will make up the third semi final place.
The runners up of each group will then be involved in a three team playoff for the fourth semi final spot.
At Minor B level, in Group 1, Eire Og play host to Ballyea, and Tulla welcome Wolfe Tones.
Group 2 sees Parteen taking on Cursheen/Tubber, with a win for Parteen meaning they would top the group – Broadford would be ready to pounce if not as they are the visitors to Sixmilebridge.
Group 3 sees Bodyke O Callaghans Mills looking to maintain their 100% record and top the group as they face Kilmaley, with Newmarket-On-Fergus hosting Banner.
There are four games down for decision at Minor C level as well – games at all grades throw in at 6.45pm.
