59 people from Clare have been waiting for over a year for a speech and language assessment.
They’re among a total of 1,234 people in Clare, Limerick and North Tipperary who have been waiting for an assessment of their conditions.
Most of those affected are children.

The figures were released to Sinn Féin by the HSE, in response to a parliamentary question, and party TD Violet-Anne Wynne has said successive governments have allowed the long waits for assessments to build up, and that this is not acceptable.
