59 On Trolleys At UHL

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is high once more as the week begins.

The latest INMO figures show there were 59 people waiting to be admitted at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 49 of those in the emergency department.

The overall figure is 16 more than the next busiest facility, Cork University Hospital, and comes on a day when 217 people were waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.

The HSE’s own Trolley GAR system shows only 16 people on trolleys at UHL.
