An Ennis GP says the people of Clare need to be patient with the government as COVID-19 cases continue to increase here.
50 new cases of the virus were confirmed in this county yesterday, while the 14 day incidence rate now stands at 303 per 100,000 population – only behind the three border counties of Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan.
The government will make a decision later today on whether to impose tougher restrictions in those counties, with Clare potentially being next in line in such a scenario.
