Ennis Breast Cancer Survivor Urges Vigilance

An Ennis Breast Cancer survivor is warning that the disease it can strike anyone at any time, regardless of your health.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and while the disease has become synonymous with the colour pink, the Marie Keating Foundation is using this month to kick off discussions on the many different ‘colours of cancer’.

They say some survivors feel alienated by the positive ‘pinkness’ when their own experiences can be much darker.

Lorraine White, who was seemingly healthy when diagnosed with cancer at the age of 39 last year, is one of those taking part in the campaign.
