A Shannon Pharmacists is urging people not to panic, as global supplies of the flu vaccine impact on supply here.
The Irish Pharmacy Union has warned that delays in the distribution of the flu vaccine have “serious potential” to undermine this year’s vaccination programme, as it remains unclear when or if the supply issues will be resolved.
They’re urging people to be patient with pharmacists as they’re “hopeful”, but not confident, that additional vaccine supplies would soon be made available for private patients, as vaccines made available by the HSE are targeted at at-risk patients.
