A status yellow weather warning has been issued for Clare and other counties from tonight.
Met Eireann is forecasting winds of up to 60 kilometre per hour and gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour, with coastal areas the worst affected.
The alert, which also covers Galway, Kerry, Donegal and Mayo comes into effect at 10pm tonight and remains in place until 7am tomorrow morning.
