Gardaí are urging Clare motorists on essential journeys not to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs this Bank Holiday weekend.
There will be increased garda checkpoints on the roads to ensure people are complying with level five restrictions, under which people are only allowed to travel within 5 kilometres of their home, except for specific reasons.
Gardaí are also carrying out their traditional bank holiday weekend road safety campaign, in an effort to reduce the number of deaths on our roads.
