UL Hospitals Group has announced it is cancelling a number of procedures at Ennis General Hospital and University Hospital Limerick this week.
The group says all routine outpatient procedures and the majority of elective procedures are being cancelled this Thursday and Friday as both hospitals manage outbreaks of COVID-19.
Staffing challenges have been reported in recent days and just under 50 patients had their procedures cancelled last Monday.
