Wexford Will Provide A Formidable Challenge To Clare – Ralph

A Clare senior hurling selector says Brian Lohan’s men know they’ve a formidable task ahead of them in the shape of Wexford tomorrow afternoon.

The Banner take on Clare-native Davy Fitzgerald’s Yellow Bellies in the All-Ireland Qualifiers on Saturday, with the prize of a quarter final against either Munster or Leinster’s losing finalists on offer.

Both sides come into the game with a point to prove, with Clare having narrowly beaten Laois last week and Wexford losing out to Galway in the Leinster Championship last time out.

Davy Fitzgerald publicly spoke about his frustrations when Wexford bowed out of Leinster.

But Clare selector Ken Ralph says they aren’t to be underestimated.

Throw-in for that match at MW Hire O’Moore Park in Portlaoise is on Saturday at 2pm and we’ll have live coverage here on Clare FM with Matt Water’s Fruit and Veg Market, Turnpike Road, and Geraghty’s Spar and Off-License, Turnpike, Ennis.
