Gardaí in Clare are urging pet owners to be on alert, following an increase in dog theft in recent months.
They’re making a fresh appeal for information following a number of burglaries in the Quilty area, during the course of which two dogs were taken from one home.
A 9-year-old liver and white Springer Spaniel and a 7-month-old white Spaniel Spaniel were taken from a shed in Quilty East in the early hours of Friday, November 6th.
Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer is asking anyone with information on the theft to contact their local Garda station, and she has this advice for pet owners.
Sergeant Triona Brooks also has this advice for pet owners to help them keep their animals safe.
